The Laymen are a Southern Gospel Quartet, who have been singing for over
25 years. The Laymen are Mark Hoggard, baritone and manager, Mark
Hoggard, Jr. (Markie), bass, Curtis Hyler, lead, and Shawn Majors, tenor.
They are based in Windsor, NC. They are with Zion Music group, and
their first project with Zion entitled, Breakthrough, has been very successful
for them, in fact their last single, "Strike The Rock" went to number 64
on the Singing News Chart for June. They have recently completed
their second project with Zion entitled, Hope For Tomorrow, which has 10
great songs on it. Nine of the songs are original, 4 of which were
written by Mark Hoggard, Jr. and 3 were written by Curtis Hyler and he
also co-wrote 1 of the songs. They give God all the praise and glory
for any success they may have and the blessing he continues to give them.
Their desire is to see people's lives touched and changed forever through
Jesus Christ.
